Todays classwork - Bottle in 3ds Max

This is a screen grab of the bottle with the line and the lathe for the bottle from todays class. It wasn't too bad keeping up in class but now i'm going to try the tutorial and start measuring a bottle of my own and creating it.

Rendering

Found this little interview while i was looking for something else.Thought it was quite nice, and I wouldn't mind having a nosy at that book. It also linked in with today's class on rendering, Here is a picture of my work.

I'm really pleased with how the render with pastels worked out!

Lego Man

Having a little bother reading the dimensions on the link that we were given. But I found this one which I can use along side the other one, to figure out the dimensions that I need. Its a tiny bit clearer, but it doesn't have all the diemnsions.

Gotye - Somebody that i used to know

Just watching this video on YouTube and thought it would be a nice idea for the bottle project... What if the person was part of the bottle (like the people here are part of the background) I could possibly do it in the shape of a face? Or maybe, the bottle could be moulded to fit each individuals hand. Is there any material that could easily change its shape then hold the new shape? For example on the first buy the user heats it or does something simple and the bottle changes shape but then will hold that shape.

Modelling with primitives

I have to admit 2nd attempt at 3Ds Max went a whole lot better than the first. I followed this Tutorial on creating a mobile and i think it turned out pretty well.

1st attempt at 3Ds Max

So 3Ds Max is just ... Super. I can detach segments and do pivots, but i just cant get the hang of re-sizing, it left the little model of me looking a bit rare, here's a screen grab of the finished front view (right)
